For some reason, out of the array of concepts vehicles out there, Peugeot’s always look to most futuristic. Designers always take them to the other end of the spectrum as far as design language is concerned. Designer Marco Aurelio Gala’s Peugeot Hyperion Concept was created to cater to the eco-conscious crowd while employing unconventional design language and articulation that has never been used in a vehicle before. The word Hyperion hails from Greek mythology and in direct translation, it means titan. The design pays homage to the space exploration era while maintaining the form of an artifact of an advanced technological society who keeps in mind the bliss of efficiency and rational through the use of their own resources.
The eco-friendly Hyperion Concept is powered by an electric engine placed in the front of the car that includes three-phase AC synchronous motors which get their go-go juice from a lithium-ion battery pack. Materials used in this tiny-tot are carbon fiber and reinforced plastic in order to keep the weight down and body rigidity at it’s highest. Top speed for this concept has been limited to 125 mph.
