Makers of some of the most gorgeous and classy roadsters and coupes on the exotic market, Morgan has introduced it’s latest beauty called the EvaGT. This rear wheel drive piece of art is powered by none other than BMW’s potent 306bhp 300ft-lb of torque 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-6 N54 motor, which is ever so appropriately matched to a 6-speed manual transmission with an automatic readily available for those who don’t want the manual option. Even though this Morgan has an aggressive sportcar shape, the company insists that this coupe isn’t aimed at the sportcar market per say. With the four-seater layout, the EvaGT is aimed to those “Young Families” who are looking for a little fun on the weekends.
The most notable design cues of the EvaGT come from the classic sports cars such as the Bristol 400 series and the Frazer Nash BMW 328 from the 1950′s. The EvaGT sits on a modified chassis from the Aero Supersports, weights only 2,755lbs and makes the sprint to 60mph in just 4.5 seconds and boasts a top speed of 170mph. All of these impressive figures and the EvaGT boasts a fuel economy of 33.3mpg. That’s a straight kick to the jugular for Mr. Prius! No price has been announced for this gorgeous Morgan yet but the company is accepting deposits right now of $5,500 for your right to reserve one of only 100 examples set to be produced. Expect delivery to roll around mid 2012.
