Eco Factor: Urban transportation system includes electric cars and solar-powered buses.

The E-Road is an urban transportation system designed by designers Rodrigo Cruz and Guilherme Soares, which aims to minimize air pollution and a busy metropolitan city. The system is based on three different projects that includes development of E-stations for boarding and disembarking passengers, electric buses and electric cars.

The E-Station has been designed to cause the least possible interference in urban areas and to support large movement of people and vehicles. The second project includes the development of E-Bus, which is a double-decker bus designed to ferry passengers in the upper part and super compact vehicles at the bottom. The E-bus will be powered by electric motors that are directly connected to the axles.

The roof of the E-Bus will also have solar panels to capture solar energy, which increases the autonomy of the vehicle. In addition to transporting people, the E-Bus can also carry 12 compact cars at a time. The third project that is involved in the E-Road Transportation System is the development of electric cars called the E-Town. The E-Town super-compact electric has been designed for two occupants and shows aggressive and impressive versatility and robustness. The vehicle includes a 40hp electric motor that is connected directly to the rear axle.

The urban transportation system is designed to be implanted within the central axes of large urban centers in order to decrease the environmental impact caused by the emission of fossil fuels and also to improve and reduce traffic in large cities. The idea of the project is to integrate these two types of vehicle, because there is still very strong clash between the culture of the car itself that gives the user some freedom and culture of public transport to large populations who intends to carry the greatest number of people with the least possible environmental impact.
